“Memories of Mohsen” is the title of the collection of war notes written by Mohsen Momeni (1363-1342 AH). This collection includes the author’s notes about his presence in the war zones in the south of the country, his participation in the operations of “Fath-ol-Mobin” and “Beit-ol-Moqaddas” in 1361, and a deceptive operation in the Shush region. The present research was compiled to show the narrative techniques in this work, according to the characteristics of the narrative type and the intra-textual characteristics, to analyze the content of the work. Typical features show sets of distinct aspects of a narrative text with a report and description. In introducing the characteristics of a type of narrative, it is possible to discuss how the elements of the structure work with each other, as well as their relationship and function in interaction with the internal elements of other narratives. In this research, by analyzing the characteristics of a specific type of narrative within the current collection, it was found that the author employs three artistic states: 1) an introduction based on premises without mentioning the narrative, 2) a temporal structure based on the occurrence of events, and 3) the design of a conclusion for a proposition through reconfiguration. From an intra-textual point of view, he tries to get to know the effect by inverting the cause-and-effect relationship, unlike the report texts. Therefore, his narrative is the cycle of changing the narrator’s character and reaching the next consciousness, giving the general life pattern.
